Position Summary:

Logistics management involves the flow of materials and goods through a business. Logistics workers, or supply chain managers, oversee the departments that receive materials and supplies into a business. The manager supervises the warehousing and stocking departments, shipping operations and customers service. Businesses rely on the efficiency of the organization’s supply chain to meet customer demand and deliver purchased goods on time and within budget. Transportation load volume more than 200 ton per annum.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, organizing, budgeting, directing and controlling all transportations (by all means of transport) and warehousing activities to meet or exceed company goals in sales and logistics cost.
  • Managing relationships with (third party in case of necessity) logistics service providers; motor carriers, freight brokers, intermodal service providers, railroads
  • Development of the logistics supply base and managing all supply chain activities
  • Maintain work flow and provide support through management of operational team
  • Manage a team of 8-12 associates
  • Negotiate shipping and supplier costs, and work to improve the efficiency of the company’s supply chain

Requirements:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills,
  • Direct employees and prepare reports for upper management
  • Able to act decisively to resolve problems
  • Good knowledge of customs clearance documentation,
  • Decision making ability
  • Interpersonal skills to motivate and instruct subordinate employees
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize
  • Experience on managerial position – 5 years
  • Language ability: Azeri, Russian, English (upper intermediate)
