Have you ever faced a room full of people, feeling short of breath, with your heart pounding, forgetting the words you have so carefully prepared for the occasion? Have you ever spoken with a group of people and felt that - whatever you said - did not seem to draw your audience attention?
If these situations ring the bell, then my public speaking course is the right choice for you. You probably have and often will find yourself in situations when you have to address an audience, often full of strangers. You will have to find just the right words, speak confidently, and control your audience.
This interactive course is designed to give you an opportunity to learn the main principles of public speaking, test them in class, and receive feedback. I will present to you five secrets of powerful public speeches and explain how they work and why. We will then view some short videos which will help us illustrate certain points and will discuss these videos together.
You will get a chance to deliver a speech and receive both instructor and group feedback based on the evaluation methodology that I designed. You will also hear other speeches and learn from others as much as from your own performance.
Remember, the audience may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you made them feel.
During this four-hour workshop, the following key topics will be addressed:
its fundamental reasons, and ways to overcome it
why it is important, how it conveys meaning, and how to best use it
how to draw attention, voice vs words, and the power of silence

why stories are important, tell vs feel approach, and the devil is in the details
By the end of the course you will learn how to:
